El mejor lugar para tener una epifanía artística es, sin duda, la sinestesia atmosférica de una buena fiesta. Nada más embriagador y sugerente que unos cuantos conocidos y desconocidos en un mismo entorno, unidos por el maravilloso síndrome del divertimento. Luz intermedia, música, con maridaje o sin él, esta ruptura de la normalidad genera en nosotros una predisposición al placer, alegría inmediata y colectiva en un mismo entorno social. Ambrosía de los dioses para los espíritus creativos.Carlos Pesudo decide en “El Guateque” nombrar como musa, toda la energía que rodea estos encuentros, siendo consciente de que fuera del hábito rutinario, el desenfoque, genera un nuevo enfoque.En esteconjunto de obras encontramos una suerte de pirotecnia plástica donde las aparentes formas orgánicas se transmutan en el último segundo para dar vida a una narrativa abstracta, impulsiva y feroz.(…) *Fragmento del texto escrito por Victoria Rivers. Sobre el artista:Carlos Pesudo (Castellón, 1992) es graduado en Bellas Artes por la Universitat Politècnica de València en 2016. En la misma universidad cursa posteriormente el Máster en Producción Artística. En 2014-2015 obtiene una beca de intercambio para estudiar en la Universidad de Bellas Artes de Budapest, Hungría. En 2018 se traslada a Brasil tras obtener una beca de posgrado para estudiar en la Universidad de Bellas Artes de Salvador, en Bahía. Ha realizado diversas exposiciones colectivas, tanto en España como internacionales. Ha expuesto individualmente en espacios como la galería Herrero de tejada, Madrid, también en PRÁM, Praga, con residencia y exposición, o en la galería Kevin Kavanagh en Dublín. Ha participado en el Festival de arte Conquista Ruas, en Brasil. En la Bienal Ciutat Vella Oberta 2017, celebrada en el IVAM, en Valencia, donde obtiene una mención honorífica por una proyección de vídeo-arte. En 2019 recibe el Premio Marte Castellón por parte de la Feria Marte. Ha sido becado para realizar diversas residencias artísticas, el certamen de residencia Culla Contemporánea de la Galería Colblanc Espai d’Art, la beca Hàbitat Artístic Castelló, con residencia en La Rectoría, Barcelona, o la beca de Artes Plásticas de la Fundación Dávalos Fletcher, con residencia en SomoS, Berlín. Suele trabajar con pintura, vídeo o instalación. Sus cuadros combinan distintos recursos plásticos como óleo, espray, rotulador o grafito. Su trabajo cuestiona la representación en sí misma desde el propio soporte hasta el signo icónico, provocando incertidumbre sobre lo que se retrata en las obras. El artista propone un lenguaje críptico, en el cual se sirve de ciertos signos, elementos o formas muy básicas, que son fácilmente reconocibles en sus cuadros pero que conllevan un tiempo de asimilación para entender o interpretar cómo y por qué aparecen en su obra. The Yusto/Giner Gallery presents the new individual exhibition of Carlos Pesudo in its space in Madrid. The best place to have an artistic epiphany is, without a doubt, the atmospheric synesthesia of a good party. Nothing more intoxicating and suggestive than a few acquaintances and strangers in the same environment, united by the wonderful syndrome of fun. Intermediate light, music, with or without pairing, this break from normality generates in us a predisposition to pleasure, immediate and collective joy in the same social environment. About the artist:Carlos Pesudo (Castellón, 1992) graduated in Fine Arts from the Universitat Politècnica de València in 2016. At the same university he later studied a Master’s Degree in Artistic Production. In 2014-2015 he obtains an exchange scholarship to study at the University of Fine Arts in Budapest, Hungary. In 2018 she moves to Brazil after obtaining a postgraduate scholarship to study at the University of Fine Arts of Salvador, Bahia. She has held several group exhibitions, both in Spain and internationally. He has exhibited individually in spaces such as Herrero de tejada gallery, Madrid, also in PRÁM, Prague, with residency and exhibition, or in Kevin Kavanagh gallery in Dublin. He has participated in the Conquista Ruas Art Festival in Brazil. In the Biennial Ciutat Vella Oberta 2017, held at IVAM, in Valencia, where he gets an honorable mention for a video-art projection. In 2019 he receives the Premio Marte Castellón by the Feria Marte. He has been awarded grants for various artistic residencies, the Culla Contemporánea residency contest of the Colblanc Espai d’Art Gallery, the Hàbitat Artístic scholarship Castelló, with residence in La Rectoría, Barcelona, or the Dávalos Fletcher Foundation Visual Arts grant, with residence in SomoS, Berlin. He usually works with painting, video or installation. His paintings combine different plastic resources such as oil, spray, marker or graphite. His work questions the representation itself, from the support itself to the iconic sign, provoking uncertainty about what is portrayed in the works. The artist proposes a cryptic language, in which he uses certain signs, elements or very basic forms, which are easily recognizable in his paintings but which require time to assimilate in order to understand or interpret how and why they appear in his work.
