Del 26 de abril al 27 de mayo de 2024 en el Cortijo Miraflores de Marbella.
Se expondrán 20 obras de 18 artistas del colectivo en diversas disciplinas, desde pintura, escultura, fotografía, cine arte y un happening. La exposición promete ser una muestra compleja, emocionante y controvertida. El objetivo de la exposición es romper con el molde de las exposiciones que se centran en la escultura o la pintura, pero sin más trasfondo. También es una exposición que invita a la reflexión. “Queremos hacer una exposición diferente en la que juguemos con la idea del arte conceptual y moderno. Por un lado, es una crítica al concepto de arte y, por otro, queremos defender la libertad del arte, de expresión”, explica Pedro Molina.
La Kavra fue fundada en 2016 por el artista Pedro Molina. Cuatro de sus coloridas y originales obras forman parte desde hace seis años de la exposición permanente del Centro Pompidou de Málaga. El grupo de artistas, que cuenta con unos 30 miembros y reúne a pintores, escultores, fotógrafos, poetas y escritores activos como artistas en Marbella y San Pedro, organiza exposiciones temáticas y presentaciones de libros. También organiza proyectos de temática social y cultural.
La inauguración tendrá lugar el 26 de abril a las 18.00 horas en el Cortijo Miraflores de Marbella, con la proyección del cortometraje “Nada” de Dana Nowak a las 18.30 horas en la sala de proyecciones del Cortijo Miraflores.

Exhibition: “Esto es Arte” by the artist collective La Kavra from April 26 to May 27, 2024 at the Cortijo Miraflores in Marbella.
On display will be 20 works by 18 artists from the group in various disciplines, from painting, sculpture, photography, film and a happening. The exhibition promises to be a complex, exciting and controversial show. The aim of the exhibition is to break the mold of exhibitions that focus on sculpture or painting, but without any further background. It is also a thought-provoking exhibition. “We want to do a different kind of exhibition in which we play with the idea of conceptual and modern art. On the one hand, this is a critique of the concept of art and, on the other, we want to defend the freedom of art, of expression,” explains Pedro Molina.
La Kavra was founded in 2016 by the artist Pedro Molina. Four of his colorful and original works have been part of the permanent exhibition at the Centro Pompidou in Málaga for six years. The artists’ group, which has around 30 members and brings together painters, sculptors, photographers, poets and writers who are artistically active in Marbella and San Pedro, organizes themed exhibitions and book presentations. This also includes taking up projects with a social and cultural theme.
The opening will take place on April 26 at 6 pm at the Cortijo Miraflores in Marbella, with a screening of the short film “Nada” by Dana Nowak at 6.30 pm in the screening room of the Cortijo Miraflores.
